2023: Muslim community drum support for Accord Party, Dumo Lulu-Briggs
Muslim community in Rivers State on Saturday pledged to support the accord party in Rivers state. At the official inauguration of the Accord Party youth leaders in the 23 local Government Areas in the state, a Muslim youth leader in diobu, Tijani Abubakar, noted with dismay the neglect of the Muslim community by current and successive governments. Tijani explained that despite the huge support by the Muslim community in the state, basic needs of the community is neglected. He stressed that following the neglect of the Muslims in the state by past and present government, the community have resolved to support and mobilise votes for only political parties who will incorporate them into their development plans.
